Ampersand - "& Co."

"Another original design of "Etc," this one inspired by Cresi. Again, an ampersand with the letter "c." In this case the musical-looking swash coming off the "c" was a common mark indicating an abbreviation. This swash-final became so common it was often used by itself as an extension off the last letter of the final word on a page to indicate "and so on."
