Ampersand - History

"The ampersand was much more popular throughout the past 600 years than it is today. So popular that it was used in some fun & interesting ways. One such interesting use was to create an abbreviation of the word et cetera, which today we write as etc., but at one time was commonly written as &c. Here are a few historic examples from the 1500 thru the 1900s."
