Some background on this piece: The R is an original creation based on an R I noticed in a turn of the century Chicago photographer's signature some months ago. The basic shape was reminiscent to me of the French Italian Hand style, so I cultivated this design variant in that direction. The background image is a portion of one of Roger's beautiful photos."
