"Happy Birthday Steve! A friend as good as you deserves a better piece of art than this. Due to time constraints this pencil rough will have to do.
I really like pencil too. I like its warmth, texture and organic nature. Everything except the 2010 is pencil. The "Zieg" part is just a dull #2 while the "Birthday" and "the" bits were done with a .03 mechanical, which is why that look so much tighter.
Steve: I ran the scans thru levels just to clean them up a little. But I envisioned not just tighter line work but some interesting line patterns within the strokes. I may add those when I get some free time and give the finish to you."
