"Completely original characters with no attempt to follow any model, I wanted to incorporate curved elements to soften the architecture of the rigid straight nature of the gothic letters. The designed feel of the letterforms and the diamond terminal flourishes lend a Victorian bearing. Simply eliminating the diamond terminal flourishes would produce an even more modern appearance."
