Church Text-1856 -"History"

"This example of Church Text is 62 years later than yesterday's post. By this period Church Text has become just a simple decorative form of Blackletter. The overly exotic letters have evolved into more legible forms. This blackletter example might be thought of as a transitional style bridging the period between historical gothic texts to the highly playful & stylized Victorian forms, e.g., "Fanciful" and "Playful Art" in my lettering art photos."
