Astronomy - Galaxy - English Roundhand
"Galaxies are large systems of billions of stars, gas, dust, planets, etc, held together by gravity. The galaxy we reside in is called The Milky Way. Seen in this composition is the closest galaxy to ours, M31, the Andromeda Galaxy. Andromeda is a larger version of our own Milky Way and heading our way. The two will collide in about 4 and a half billion years.
The spiral flourishes of English Roundhand are perfect for intimating the shapes of spiral galaxies. I wanted to emphasize the the basic spiral pattern within the "G" and the ascender of the "l." English Roundhand used a couple versions of "x." This complex, continuous-line, looping "x" has always been one of my personal favorite letterforms. "
