George Bickham example

"The name Gloucestershire (a County in south-west England) from the talented hand of George Bickham. I'm sharing this clean, simple, and classy calligraphy just to highlight two details. 1) The Roman G hybridized into a script-like character by compressing and sloping it, and adding the usual oval entrance-stroke found on Roundhand script caps, also, further dressing it up with a beautfully integrated looping hairline fourish… 2) The rarely used high-ligatured 'sh', in comparison to the more usual 'st' ligature in the word."
