Discovered in 1848, Hyperion is one of Saturn's 62 (so far) moons. The first non-round moon to be discovered, Hyperion is the largest of Saturn's irregularly-shaped moons. Its size is 255 x 163 miles. Hyperion is thought to be the remnant of a larger moon destroyed in a collision. Its sponge-like appearance is unexplained. Its density is extremely low, almost that of a ball of rubble, possibly glued together with water ice. Hyperion's rotation is tumbling and unpredictably chaotic.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe calligraphy is in late-period Roundhand.
