Tallstacks Poster - Original Lettering

Tallstacks is a steamboat festival in Cincinnati honoring the importance of these boats to this river city. The boats are named "Queen" giving Cincinnati it's nickname of "The Queen City".

Don worked with Art Director Steve Ziegelmeyer on this piece creating a custom letter form border that spelled out the ports that the participating boats originated from. The lettering partnered with the scratchboard illustration recalled the heyday of the river boats.

"An oldie, but goodie I worked on. I still think this is the best Tallstacks poster to date. Steve Ziegelmeyer was the AD."
