Astronomy - Vesta - English Roundhand
"Discovered in 1807, Vesta is the second largest asteroid (Ceres is the largest) in the Asteroid Belt with a mean diameter of 329 miles. Vesta doesn't have enough mass for gravity to make it round, its shape is somewhat like that of a walnut shell. Vesta is unique in that besides being an asteroid and classified as a Minor Planet in 2006, it is also categorized as a Proto-planet due to having a chemically divers cooled lava crust covering an iron & nickel core. Vesta's true details were not known until it was visited and mapped by the Dawn Spacecraft in 2011. Dawn then proceeded to the largest asteroid, Ceres, where it is currently orbiting, giving it the distinction of being the first spacecraft to orbit & study two celestial bodies.
This Roundhand style is fairly standard. But since the word is a short & simple name, I chose to dress the composition up slightly by using a more sinuous form of capital V which I find more elegant than the usual pointed nadir form. I also opted for a couple other less common details to add more visual interest, such as an "st" ligatured from the waistline, and a "t" crossed above the waistline. High-crossed "t"s started becoming common by the early 1800s."
