Minerals - Wavellite - English-Italian Hand

"The little green nodules on this rock is Wavellite. Not a well known mineral, it is an aluminum phosphate named after its discoverer William Wavell in 1805. Its green crystals are spherical and usually about pea-sized. I thought it would be fun to play off the Wavell name with some wave-like flourishing in this otherwise sedate English-Italian Hand composition. "
