Minerals - Chrysoprase - English-Italian Hand

"Another of my most favorite minerals is chrysoprase, a beautiful translucent bright apple-green chalcedony. Its greenish color comes from its nickel content. Through the 17th & 18th century this stone was very popularly used for carving cameo broaches & jewelry.

One of the more unique characters in this English-Italian Hand is the old form "long s" which was done from the usual form that looks like an uncrossed f to this simple, flowing form. "
