Engrosser's Script - Promissory Note

"A scan of a promissory note from a booklet of blanks from the 1920s. The booklet was a gift some years ago from my friend Steve Ziegemeyer who found the booklet in an abandoned farmhouse on his property. Upon magnification it can be seen the writing on these notes was done by hand and a photographic plate made for the printing. The Engrossers' Script of this unknown scribe is actually rather poor (seen in the enlargement detail), but the reduced, printed effect is quite pleasing."
