Astronomy - Meteor - English Roundhand
"Meteors, also known as shooting stars, are bits of rock or metallic space material. Appearing as brief streaks of light as they burn up from friction. Meteors hit the atmosphere at speeds of 7 to 24 miles per second. Most are no larger than a grain of sand but occasionally larger chunks make it to the ground before being completely vaporized. Those remnants are called meteorites.
On rare occasion English Roundhand uses a rounded lowercase type of cap M such as this variant. The pointed t used here was also rare. However this form of t later became the norm in American Engrossers' Script and also as a final letter. This t crosses above the waist-height of the lowercase which was not common in English Roundhand. This was done to clear adjacent letters. Also I have rendered the t-cross to imply a meteor."
