Minerals - Zincite - English Italian Hand

"Haven't added any art to my Mineral Series for awhile, so… This is Zincite (zinc oxide crystals). Zincite's clear to translucent crystals can occur in a variety of colors depending on impurities, but is most commonly found in the golden yellow to candy apple green range.

In this English Italian Hand composition, being a short word with no ascenders or descenders one must find other opportunities to dress up the design, such as with with ancillary flourishing. I first chose a rarely used form of Z for this hand which lead to the rest of the flourishing. My intent was to create a sort of nest for the mineral specimen."
